Amidst the height of the pandemic, we shifted to an online format, SPARK From Home. As a multi-day virtual hackathon with workshops and loads of competition, participants in middle and high school were able to showcase their business and coding skills and network with industry professionals. All proceeds from this event were donated to BLM, the Yemen Crisis, and youth mental health initiatives.
SPARK is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) centred Non-Profit Organization that aims to bring STEAM-focused education, competitions and services accessible to youth in the GTA.
